Historical news
S3 are creating their newspaper articles reacting to the declaration of war in Germany by Britain in 1914. As they write their drafts they are looking at newspapers from the time so that they are able to write in a similar style.

S3 historians are developing their understanding of the tensions between the countries who became the key players of World War 1. They have been sorting out different events and actions, categorising them according to importance and exploring links between them.

They have discussed what would have happened if various actions, events and even countries could have been removed from the equation.

And spoken to the rest of the class about the role of individual countries in order to demonstrate their improved understanding.

A great lesson!!
