More enzymes!
After matching keys and locks the class race to collect as many pennies from the floor as possible. They then had their fingers taped and tried to pick up the pennies again. This was to show how any enzyme changes shape and does not fit the substrate any more. The class then made up ways to help them remember the names of enzymes and their substrates and products. Here is one - give 1 penny please sir to help them remember Glucose 1 phosphate is built up to starch by the enzyme phosphorylase.
